For anyone dying to know, the new answer to life the universe and everything is 284!
That is the number of balloons that we were able to pack into our Freelander on Saturday 23rd November for our "Guess the number of balloons in the Land Rover" charity competition, including that orange balloon who made a number of breaks for freedom through the window!
Despite the cold, 11 cheery Rotaractors came to help out by selling guesses to passing shoppers on Peascod Street in Windsor.
We met some fantastic people during the course of the day including a very entertaining nearby busker who tried to make up a rap involving balloons and Land Rovers, and a couple of (possibly drunk) Irish guys who gave £20 and tried to guess "20"!
It seems the amount you can raise is proportional to the number of balloons used so we might try and get hold of a double decker bus next time!
We got quite a range of guesses including one guy who thought there might be 2,653,965,421 balloons in the car!
Not including this, the average guess was 299, pretty close to the correct answer, and interestingly our top four prize winners were all female!

A huge thank you again to the local businesses who supported our fundraiser by donating prizes, we literally couldn't have done it without you:
Thanks also to Waitrose Windsor for donating a £5 voucher which we used as our booby prize.
All of these prizes were very generously been donated for free which allowed our event to raise as much money for charity as possible.
Finally, thank you to Guy Salmon Land Rover Ascot for providing the car for us also for no cost.
See you again next time!
