Caversham & Reading Rotaract Raise Funds for Abbeyfield

Reading and Caversham Rotaract is pleased to announce that during our Monday meeting a cheque for £100 was passed to Ken Shield of Abbeyfield to assist with the work carried out at their old peoples’ home.

Laura Dielhenn, Chairman the Reading and Caversham Rotaract club, said: “It was great to have Ken visit and tell us about the work of Abbeyfield. I hope this will go some way to assisting in their work”.

She continued: “Rotaract has a range of aspects to it, from raising charitable funds, to personal development and various social activities. Kens visit was an opportunity to find out more about the work of Abbeyfield, and made for a very interesting topic”.
