What is Rotaract

Rotaract is an opportunity to......

.....be part of a fun, dynamic and unique International organisation for people aged 18-30, offering a wide range of activities that will enable you to try something new, whilst having a great time and meeting others.

Rotaract offers a wide choice of social activities, actively supports your local community, raises money for charity and gives you the opportunity to develop your personal skills and gain new life experiences in the UK and abroad.

Rotaract is an organisation open to all 18 to 30 year olds, male and female, with no political or religious ties.

There are 14 Rotaract clubs in our District, nearly 200 in Britain, and more than 6,000 in the whole world. Each club organises its own social activities, which could just be a trip down the pub, ten-pin bowling, or maybe a meal, a theatre trip, or even a holiday abroad!

We also find time to raise funds for charities, and occasionally help out in the local community through activities such as gardening, marshalling or helping the elderly.

About once a week, we get to meet members of the other clubs in our district, for what is known as a "District Event". This can be anything from a theme disco or a quiz night to a dinner dance.

With over 150 Rotaractors in our district, you get the opportunity to make a lot of new friends. Some of the members of each club form a committee to help run things. This, and other events we run, can help your personal development - being a Rotaractor certainly looks good on your CV. Rotaract helps you, helps others, enhances your social circle and is fun!
